Yesterday was the Feast of the Porziuncula; that is, the chapel of St. Mary of the Angels in Assisi. It has a very special meaning to all franciscans as St. Francis loved it above all the little churches. There he found his vocation, there he received St. Clare into the Order, there he died. There is a special indulgence for those who go churches dedicated to St. Mary of the Angels.
And here's a picture of the tent-protest in Independence Park (Jerusalem). Compared to the Tel Aviv counterpart, it is a lot more serious; possibly ebcause it's very near the PM's residence. Journalists say the Jerusalem protesters are more focussed and experienced.
So far no violence so hopefully things may get resolved soon. There're lots of people - young and old - participating in this tent-out.
And here's a photo of the night-lights at Damascus Gate during the 2nd day of Ramadan. It has been a rowdy affair - and as usual the muslim boys fired explosives at our gate near midnight. It's going to be a long, awful month for us. I'm getting harassed.
