Feast of the Assumption

Today we remember Mary assumed into heaven body and soul upon her death. Went to the Tomb of Mary in the Kidron Valley this morning. Small crowd. Went in and knelt and prayed for each and everyone of you.

I'm sure the prayers also rose into heaven as the tomb was the place where the Assumption took place. The tomb is carved out of rock and protected by glass.


The Custos presided at Solemn Mass next door at the Basilica of the Agony (Gethsemani). Very crowded. Had a meeting with him in the hermitage behind the Basilica after Mass.

The gastro-intestinal infection is over. And the hernia doesn't hurt as much because I was in bed the whole day yesterday. Will see what the next move is ....
