Strange weather

Wow, the newspapers say 150,000 Orthodox Jews went to the Tomb of Rachel to pray yesterday. You don't know how small the Tomb synagogue is .... And why the crowd? And now Jewish settlers who take up home in Arab neighbourhoods are complaining about the Muslim call to prayer at 4am. Welcome to the neighbourhood, guys! We've lived with this for the past 800 years if you haven't yet known. But we live and let live. Now that Jewish Israelis are complaining, you can be sure the govt. will do something about it. You might say that's a good sign, to stop all that noise at 4am .... but you know what? first it'll be the muslims, then it'll be us. Sooner or later, they complain that churches are ringing the bells to loud and early and will ask the govt. to stop us. Not a good sign.

The change of weather from hot and dry to humid and cold is playing havoc with us old folks. Many of us are suffering pain in the joints. My arthritis in the fingers have returned big time, all swollen and very painful. Same with the ankle. And yesterday most of us had headaches as well. So everyone is taking things slowly these few days.
