He ends with the interesting insight into the scriptural reading of the synagogue of this week - the story of Noah. It begins with Noah as a righteous man who was rescued from the flood while everyone else died because of their sins. But once the flood subsided and Noah got off the ark, this righteous man got drunk and himself sinned. Did God not know this beforehand? Was God playing double-standards? These are questions that torture our minds as we try to unravel the mystery of God's eternal plan. In faith, we can only say that only God knows what He is doing ... and we can only trust that it all works out for good.
