Some breathing space after the Sunday riots. This is almost an impossible place to live in. Today I just heard from those students who live up in Terra Santa College and the Salesian Seminary that they're happy they're living some 2 km away and outside of the Old City and they don't plan to ever live inside the Old City ever. So good luck to me.
It rained yesterday morning - for 20 miserable seconds. The sky had darkened considerably and a very cold wind blew. Claps of thunder added to the drama. We all were waiting at the door of our roof terrace .... and we saw the first drops. It was a happy sight. Then it poured ... and stopped after twenty seconds. The sky cleared, the thundered rumbled off to Jordan and the sun came out again. Talk about anti-climax. Everyone was disappointed.
Let's hope no more riots this weekend and lots of rain instead!
