Heat Wave

It's been officially declared by the Jerusalem weather station that yesterday (or right now) was a heat wave - 34 degrees. Right now, which is half an hour past midnight, it's 27 degrees. I only slept for 2 hours and I'm awake because of the heat. It's dreadful. I've drank 1.5 litres of water since I woke up and am finishing my 2nd 1.5 litres. We're lucky here I guess because Beer Sheva in the desert, it's 36-38 degrees.

From the forecast, this afternoon should be cooling off to about 27 degrees. Then suddenly it'll drop to 17 degrees on Wednesday and hopefully rain. Well I'm certainly praying for rain . .. big rain.

And continuing from yesterday's thought about how fast 2009 is slipping away .... maybe it's good to look back and see if we've done any good deed so far. Made someone happy? Said something nice? Make 2009 something worth remembering ..... do something nice for someone!
