Getting worse

Another try on a new configuration.

Near empty Jaffa junction
We're in big trouble ... 6800 new infections. The govt is meeting right now to enforce stricter lockdown laws ... and the PM is said to be mulling declaring a state of emergency. All this is the fruit of people who are refusing to obey basic hygienic rules of wearing masks, keeping distance and washing hands. I have a friend who just the other said it's all panic mongering, Covid is not a problem ... he won't wear a mask. So what can we do with these people? They are a danger to my poor health ... and ultimately my life.

I've stayed home all day today ... didn't go to work at the other library though I did alot in the un

Burgers & chips

iversity library. The library is not open to the public or even to our students living outside ... we just do cataloguing work and other administrative stuff. Just as well. The infection has become so rampant it's like every other person could be a carrier. You can never be too careful. It's too bad many convents of nuns far from priestly communities or parishes have no Mass.

Still we're not letting the lockdown put us down. Today we decided in the library that we'll order burgers and chips and buffalo wings to cheer us up. It was a fun lunch time and we had a good break from work. We tried Just Burger ... a new shop ... very small and deals mainly with deliveries and takeaways. Not bad ... but the best thing was all 5 of us who work in the library had a good break from all the books and computers and catalogue cards ... to relax and laugh. Here's hoping things will get better soon.
