Eve before lockdown

Exactly one hour ago a nationwide total lockdown was enforced. Hailed as stricter than the 1st lockdown in March, I've read the dos and don'ts and find it's not. You can walk 1km from your house now while in March it was only 100m. Exceptions and mitigations are everywhere. I was up on our terrace and watching the street below, I counted 8 people walking about, a car passed by, even the Booza Ruqeb ice cream seller was wandering through the alleys shouting his wares. Not a police in sight. I just don't know what to make of it. There's still no clear guidelines. Nevertheless, we've been there and done that. I'm developing a reaction to the flu vaccine. No fever but joint pains, nausea, headache and confusion. I should stay in bed and sleep this afternoon. In the morning I was at work in the other place, finalising payments, work schedules etc... before coming home. And a quick lunch of white rice and curry veggies and then had class. By 2pm I was very dizzy. Buddy and JJ have been all about me ... which helps me not to faint. They keep nipping my fingers and toes so I stay alert. The seem to know I'm not well. And when I lie down, they come to sleep with me ... Buddy on my chest and JJ at my feet. I prefer a dog ... but the 2 birds are as best as I can get. And they're really good companions.

Newspapers are showing crowds of people crowding bakeries and supermarkets to stock up on food before the lockdown. I did too. However in one of the exceptions, I read that you can go beyond 1km from your house for pet care ... which means buying food for them. I'll try it out next week.
