In the park under the trees

The weather continues to warm up and the summer vacation is just days away. Some schools have already begun summer vacation ... my students at the Salesian Uni have already moved out to their missions around the Holy Land. Our school closes tomorrow ... and hopefully no more students will come to use the library. People can't be cooped up in their tiny apartments forever and the hot weather is a big help because many families come out into the park and spend most parts of the day under the trees, having picnic lunches and just enjoying the outdoors. School children will be able to play in the open which is safer than in narrow alleys. Downside is that children are the largest asymptomatic carriers of coronavirus. That's why schools are the major source of virus outbreaks. In Jaffa the courts have ordered a halt to the demolition of the muslims cemetery that has led to riots for the past week. Thank goodness some peace is restored. Meantime Greece and Israel will reopen bilateral flow of flights and tourism. A little window of hope that other countries will soon be added to the list. Tour guides are desperately calling on the govt. to save the tourism industry.

My blood pressure is still high ... above 140/80 but I'm not having the headaches and dizziness like before. Been drinking 3 litres of water everyday but what I lack is the 4km walk daily that helps reduce my cholesterol and diabetes ... which ultimately affects my bp. I must try to do it everyday ... but with the strict rules of going out imposed by my house, it'll be a tightrope to walk.
