Purim

Spent 4 hours yesterday afternoon with our computer engineer Shoukri to resolve the virus problem. I bought an anti-virus programme and we installed it into the two computers but it couldn't kill the bug. So now Shoukri has brought one computer back to the office to erase everything and reinstall the system. Hope I don't lose my thesis in the process - well definitely 10 pages at least will be lost.

Summer weather has definitely come - very hot and dry. But the nights are still cool, requiring a woolen vest at least.

And yesterday was Purim. They commemorate the triumph of Queen Esther over Haman the persecutor of the Jews. It's almost like Halloween - the kids dress up in costumes and people celebrating in the streets. Of course security was high - soldiers everywhere.
