More rain!

Oh my! the uproar by the students opposite us is drowning all other noise!! Why?? It's RAINING!!!! It's such a happy affair - most of these children would have hardly remembered seeing rain before. Now it's raining relatively hard, with a strong westerly wind. The students let out an almighty shout and broke out of their classes, running into the courtyard to let the rain fall on their faces, waving their hands in the air, thanking God for the rain. Even the teachers are out. The principal is speaking through the PA system, trying to keep order in the school .... a rather futile attempt. The wind is strong enough to blow the rain through my window ... have to close them. The window panes are wet. Most of our guys here are also out in the terrace to see/feel the rain .... it takes so little to make the people in this drought-stricken land happy ... just some rain ... that's all we ask.

The forecast is lighter showers tomorrow, and continuous falling temp. - down to 14 degrees.
