Jerusalem Knights

The past few evenings here in the Old City saw a flurry of happenings at many street corners of the Christian Quarter. Street plays, musicians, jugglers ... all dressed in medieval costumes. The theme was "Jerusalem Knights" which featured the Crusader period of Jerusalem. It was very fun, and lots of people (especially children) came to join in. You follow a trail of banners along the streets of the Christian Quarter, and at every corner there is a happening. Funny thing is almost all the visitors were local Israeli Jews, and hardly any local christians. Praveen and I wandered around a few happenings and quite enjoyed ourselves. It was very well thought-out, and fun. Unfortunately it wasn't well publicised otherwise tourist groups would have come to join as well. Hope they'll put up more events like this in the future.

The weather has turned hot again, so hot that at 3am I couldn't sleep and decided to take some fresh air in the terrace. When I got out of the corridor, I noticed that many others were awake as well ... lights were on in their rooms. And then I saw a white figure at the far end of the corridor walking towards me. I thought it was Fr Kaswalder so I didn't give it a 2nd thought. But later I was thinking if it could have been him ... I didn't see the face properly and the figure was all white. Pretty disturbing. So I asked him at breakfast ... just to make sure I didn't see a ghost ... and he said it was him ... it was too hot to sleep. So that settled it. No ghost.
