The past two days was the feast of Shavuot or Pentecost for the Jews. It marks the harvest of the grain, and of course the coming of the hot summer months. And it sure did come - the weather has been like 35 -37 degrees everyday. Waves of Jews were going down to the Wailing Wall to pray - amazing sight.
A small group of 17 people from Hong Kong arrived and I've been busy with them for these two days. It's led by Fr Benedict Lam. Fantastic group, very co-operative and disciplined, and eager to learn so many things. And they brought lots of the chinese pamphlets introducing the Holy Places in chinese - which is in great demand now.
The Jubilee Year of St Paul will soon commence, and I hope you're all ready for it. Let's get off on a right foot by preapring to know St Paul more, especially through his letters. Do join in talks, conferences and other activities scheduled in your diocese. And of course Duns Scotus Bible Centre has also arranged a range of activities to celebrate this unique event. Do join in ok?
