Newly beatified

Yesterday the parents of St Therese of Lisieux (the Little Flower) were beatified. Both wanted to be priest/nun but changed their minds and got married instead - had 9 children; 4 died and the other 5 girls became nuns and one of whom is of course a saint.

They're now officially Blessed Louis Martin and Blessed Zelie Guerin. And their picture (in the Lisieux Cathedral) is next to their daughter St Therese. So you parents out there, you have a "patron saint" couple to intercede for you now.
