| Fr Richard and his seminarians |
And yesterday morning I had a sudden severe attack of asthma while at work. Caused a minor crisis as people were rushing up and down not knowing what to do. One of the workers in the kitchen wanted to drive me to hospital but by that time I was feeling better. I guess I must have taken too much cortisone to stop the asthma ... last night my 2 fingers were super swollen and very very painful. I could not sleep all night due to the excruciating pain. There was also a slight fever and the usual nausea.
Despite being sick I had to fulfil some social obligations ... by inviting some long distance friends to dinner. They were from Vancouver and Fr Richard was once our student here ... some 20 years ago. He's here with 3 seminarians from Vancouver, visiting the Holyland. I was struggling to keep my asthma under control ... and after dinner with these canadians, I had to go to a hotel to get stuff from a Singapore group. Ended up totally exhausted and even more sick than before. Came home only at midnight and slept for 3 hours as I kept suffocating.
