"Painless Migraine"

The temperature dropped some 6 degrees - and you can feel the cold again. Morning glories are flowering ... they think its Spring! That's because of the sudden heatwave we had last week. And the canaries are fighting ... they think its breeding season! Very strange weather we're having.

And the earthquake in Haiti ... God have mercy! We must pray for them.

Sinead informed me that she has "painless migraine" that's affecting her vision. Now that's a first! How about "painless slip disc"?????? Oh oh, how about "painless toothache"? I can see people lining up for that! Oh wait ... I can better that one .... how about a "painless punch in the nose"? naww ... that'll take out all the fun!

Today's reading from 1Samuel is well-known and oft-repeated. It's the call of Samuel when he was a sleepy boy near the Ark of the Covenant. I was wondering about Eli the old High Priest who was wakened up 3 times. One would have thought that he would have felt offended because God was not calling him, the high Priest; instead God chose to speak to a little boy. And Eli didn't bear a grudge. Nor was he jealous. He simply let God be God. No "painless migraines" here!
