Thanks for your prayers and concern. The crucial 72 hours passed and I'm recovering well. It's not going to be a quick recovery but it's on the way. I can feel Easter coming ...
The past 2 nights have been gripped with violence in our streets. You probably saw the video footages in the news. That's barely 200 meters from my window. I can hear the shootings and screams from my room. Then Gaza bombed Israel with missiles, and Israel responded likewise. All the newspapers are saying things are getting out of hand. Muslims are trying to prevent extremist jews from sacrificing sheep in the mosque ... police attack the muslims ... the spiral gets violent.
Yesterday was the first time I got out of the house ... feeling strong enough to enjoy the lovely sun and breeze. A group of students from Franciscan University came and asked to see me. I wasn't strong enough to walk far but I really wanted to show them an empty tomb with a rolling stone, so they decided to support me all the way till we reached it. They spent a long quiet time praying there. And they loved it.
Today we begin the Triduum.
