Weekend

Sunrise today

The weekend has begun ... here it's Friday and Saturday ... I stayed home all day as I had alot of paper work to do. Rather stressful. Struggled to finish the work by late afternoon ... except I couldn't find a document. Searched everywhere and finally thought I might have left it in my office. I wasn't ready to walk uphill 1km in the sun and Friday crowd. So I left it till evening when it was cooler and much less crowded.

Well I did find that very important document on my office table .... so blessed relief!!!

Asian grocery in town

Another Friday and the Gaza border again was packed with 8000 protesters. A weekly affair. 76 wounded. It's getting more violent now that the protesters are using explosives. Very dangerous game.  And Trump's upping the sanctions on Iran for bombing Saudi's oil facilities ... that's making us worried as Iran might decide to respond aggressively. We don't feel safe.

Anyway it's the weekend and usually it's a visit to the asian grocery. Back 30 yrs ago there was only one asian grocery in town. It's still around. But there are many more smaller groceries dotted around the Mall ... all filipino runned. There's everything you can buy in those shops .... even wonton skins and spring roll skins. The world is getting much smaller now.
