Rains

Yes it finally rained - it began in the early morning yesterday and right through the day. It wasn't exactly a shower, rather a heavy drizzle. But it soaked the ground and the plants were wet. That certainly helped stop the Carmel fires. It's finally doused. And it's emerged that the fire started with a 14 yr old schoolboy smoking a nargila (water-pipe) and throwing the live coal into the forest that started the fire. A small act that destroyed thousands of acres of land, millions of trees, dozens of countries involved, lost of many of lives.

And sadly yesterday my faithful driver and friend Wahib called to tell me his close relative was one of the victims of the Carmel fire. He's spending this week in mourning. Those of you who know him, please pray for his relative. Wahib is devastated.
