Tourism to Jerusalem's east side is on the rise. There're lots of unique historical sites to see, such as the newly reopened Damascus Gate Roman Courtyard. See http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1218710408527&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull Mind you, it's not just foreign visitors but lots of Israeli weekenders who spent a day in the Old City - something I've not seen in the past 15 years. Only problem is they wear skimpy clothes and don't respect the holiness of our Christian sites.
Meanwhile Israel won the Bronze for windsurfing - Shahar Zubari did a good job and Israel is jubilant today. We talked alot about it at lunch today.
Personally I've lost all energy and tire out easily. Am too weak for any thing - in fact Khalil the cook and Jadallah our handyman had to help me clean the birdcage - something I've been doing alone for almost a year.
