Rain over

Sunset after the rain
This morning was awfully cold ... more than yesterday. The highest temp. at noon was 12 degrees. And it drizzled all morning. I had to wear 2 hoodies to stay warm while working in the library. Our 2 librarians are still sick and I have to take their place ... but at 10.30am I had class so I had to find someone else to substitute me. It's all getting so complicated. Anyway it was a whole morning of work. Then immediately after lunch (which was lentil broth because Fridays are penance days) I had to rush off to the other library for work, then meet the Chinese sisters to discuss some things, then meet a chinese pilgrim group, then walk 1.5km to a hotel to meet another group. It was awfully dark in the street by7pm and the hotel was in a very rough neighbourhood of East Jerusalem. Walking there was abit harrowing. Walking back home at 8pm was even worse. Well good thing I wasn't mugged or killed.

Blossoming wild violets
Well the rain stopped by lunch time and the sun came up but it remained very cold. I think the only things that are enjoying this cold are the plants. The wild violets are flowering profusely. And some narcissus are also blossoming. It's amazing how a little cold could do to plants. And the sunset in the crisp clean air is always astoundingly beautiful.

Yesterday's newspapers report that medical marijuana would soon be available in pharmacies. That would be a great help to people with muscular diseases, or pains and cramps, or a host of other maladies. Medical marijuana has been proven to be effective on all these illness. And Israel is leading in this field.  https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/.premium-1.824517
