The weather has warmed up alot. It's almost like summer again. That's very nice as in 4 days Israel will be celebrating Independence Day. There'll be the usual parade of aircraft and navy ships along the coast. I'm not sure if I'll be in Jaffa to see it as I usually do each year. The day prior to Independence Day is Remembrance Day when Israel remembers all the fallen soldiers since the founding of the State. A siren will sound at 10am for 1 minute of silence.

Sr. Marcel and the group of chinese students at the St. Vincent de Paul convent |
Meanwhile I had gone to the doctor's up north in Nazareth. The asthma is not good as it's a 24 hour attack. I'm using the ventolin inhaler almost every 5 minutes but it's not working. I'm now using Budicort as a daily treatment ... though I really hate using any more cortisones. And I've been running a fever and dreadful diarrhea for 2 days now. I feel terribly exhausted as a result.
Nevertheless I managed to accompany a group of chinese students to visit the Sisters of St. Vincent de Paul on the Mt. of Olives. They presented their problems and their projects so the students were more aware of the situation and needs. Hopefully they can do something to help the situation. This is the Easter hope that comes to reality when actions take over from wishes.
