Presentation Feast

Mounted Police this
morning at Nablus Road
The temperature has steadily been falling and it drizzled several times in the afternoon. Cold. And miserably grey. Tomorrow will be even colder and it'll probably continue for the next few days. The young fragile leaves of rose bushes are all burnt by the cold but tulip buds are loving this cold snap.

There was heavy military presence in and out of the Old City. Don't know why. Mounted Police were also in the streets. Well at least I got to see some real horses for the Year of the Horse. Too bad these horses were stopping arab youths along the street for ID checks ... not a lucky symbol definitely.

Healthwise the diarrhea is continuing. I've developed a cold sore on the upper lip. And the blood pressure has dropped a little today ... but still feeling dizzy.

Anyway it's the Feast of the Presentation ... when the baby Jesus was brought up to the Temple by Mary and Joseph and met by the old Simeon and Anna. Too bad christians can't celebrate this feast in the Temple area (which today is the Al Aqsa Mosque) as no one except muslims may worship there.
