Three days of hibernation. Feeling very sick. The diarrhea has stopped but now it looks like I've caught the flu or something. Fever, severe headaches, cough with tonnes of phlegm, respiratory problems. Just got back from the doc who's put me on heavy antibiotics. Then the sharp pain on my right shoulder was diagnosed as probably a rotational whatever ... which could lead to frozen shoulder. Apparently the ligaments are inflamed or something so my shoulder hurts when I raise my arm. On pain-killers as a result. Last night the whole sick-thing was so bad I couldn't sleep a wink.
Meantime Palileaks is shaking up our whole society. Everyone is worried at the instability the reports are causing in our country. Protests in Gaza. Accusations of treachery thrown back and forth within both Palestinian and Israeli govts. Then the larger picture of riots in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen against their govts. Instability is the word here - and it's getting dangerous. An unstable Middle-East will do no good to anyone around the world. Today a Palestinian youth was shot dead in the West Bank allegedly by Jewish settlers http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/palestinians-rock-throwing-teen-shot-dead-by-west-bank-settlers-1.339538 . Yesterday helicopters were flying overhead in our area.
On a better note, yesterday we remembered Fr Allegra who died 34 years ago. There was a small display of his works and life at our school, organised by Osvalda.
