There are still people who are self-sacrificing and live Christ's commandment to love your neighbour in a truly selfless way, putting their own lives at risk. I think of the Franciscan sisters of  the Mt. of Beatitudes and Dr. Yau, who gave selfless service. It is a powerful statement in the face of those who live only for themselves, for money and greed, for power.
