O Wisdom

The expected violence on the Temple Mount did not take place ... at least there's no report about it in the news. I didn't around to find out. I moved out to another monastery in the New City. Got back at noon and found the roads in the Old City tense with soldiers standing on one side and local arabs on the other, each testing the patience of the other.

The weather is bitterly cold. Since last night a sandy wind was blowing. Visibility was reduced to 1km. It continued the whole day ... which made many people sick ... and I got my asthma. This evening it started to rain. And the temperature is falling. I had to wear woollen pjs last night and I still felt cold. Woke up at 3am shivering and wheezing. But no one is complaining - the cold just adds to the atmosphere of Christmas.

Today we enter Great Advent. We start singing the O antiphons for vespers and tonight it's "O Wisdom" - remember last year's blog on this? Check out the internet for "O antiphons" for a good catholic explanation. Hope everyone gets some "wisdom" this Christmas!
