Tourist deluge

Sunrise
Sunday passed relatively quiet. The rain has stopped and the sun was up. Temperatures rose to 18 degrees but once the sun set at 4.30pm the cold returned. I didn't go out to buy the weekly necessities ... my jaw was hurting too much because I didn't want to take painkillers. In the end I had to take one otherwise the pain would be took much to bear.

The fine weather is just right for the thousands of tourists coming into Jerusalem this week. Hotels are fully booked and many groups have to stay in Bethlehem and even Ramallah. Fights have broken up in the Holy Sepulchre when groups wait for 2 hours to enter the Empty Tomb. The situation is crazy ... it's totally out of control and the tourist police are not doing anything.

Some bad news as 40 arab families will be evicted under court orders so jewish settlers can take over their homes. This slow encroachment to occupy east Jerusalem is frightening to say the least. This will only provoke more violence.   https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/ruling-on-e-j-lem-house-expected-to-lead-to-evictions-of-many-arab-families-1.6659084?fbclid=IwAR2iQ17FrpuAp_wcKXorexc5gEs7XO2jTNezyywWS9RIum6rtJdSHxkxtuA
