Still snowing!

The snow turned to sleet yesterday evening. It was cold and everyone went out to the terrace after dinner to see how the situation was getting. At 2am I woke up and went to see the terrace. It was covered with a fine layer of snow. At 5am I went out again but it was turning to sludge. Thinking it's all melting now, I decided to go down for Mass with woollen socks and sandals; and being the first one down I had to open the Church doors and Monastery gate. Took one step out of the Church into the courtyard and I landed my feet on 2 inches of sludge! Yuck! Ran quickly to open the gate, then rushed up 3 floors back to my room to change to boots and dry socks.

After breakfast the snow picked up again - this time lovely large flakes as large as 5 shekel coin - hhmmm that's bigger than your HK$10 coin. It was very nice and everyone stood by the refectory windows looking at the snow while eating breakfast. After breakfast many students rushed up to our terrace roof to take pictures. I took some and have posted it on the right. The wind is pretty strong and our lenses were wet right through.

School has been cancelled in Judah today because of the snow. The roads get very slippery and car accidencts occur all the time. So kids get a chance to stay home and play with the snow. Our guys here have a major exam today! No skipping school!

And for the rest of the day? It's back to work on the text. But I also have a VC class later in the afternoon. See you guys at the VC class.
