Drone

As if we don't have enough troubles internally .... so yesterday we had a spy drone entering Israeli airspace. The IDF (Israel Defense Force/army) shot it down. They think it's probably lebanese since the Gazans are not technologically capable of making a drone.   http://www.haaretz.com/blogs/east-side-story/the-immediate-suspect-behind-the-drone-that-penetrated-israel-hezbollah.premium-1.468566

Today life is more or less back to normal. But the streets will be tense again tomorrow as the Sukkot holidays end with the feast of Shmini Atzeret (no work allowed), and then followed by Simchat Torah (Feast of the Torah). Security will be up again and let's hope it won't end like Friday. Here's a pic of riot police firing stun grenades into the Dome of the Rock esplanade on Friday. That's just a few hundred metres from where I live. The sound and shock of the stun grenades still ring in our ears.

School has started officially and the new students are everywhere ... strutting about and feeling smug. Wait till the tests and homework begin ... then reality hits home.
