Pink trees again

Pink tree
It's been very sunny the past two days, though the temp is still low ... about 14 degrees during the day and 8 degrees in the night. It's rather a pleasant weather if not for the war. Nevertheless people try to live as normally as they can. I see from the weather forecast that it'll be raining from tomorrow onwards till Sunday. We do need the rain ... but it'll make going out to buy necessities quit inconvenient.

Rocket debris have been falling over us the past few days. One huge piece fell into our primary school classroom through the roof. Luckily there're no live classes. Everything is on zoom. Another huge piece fell on the roof of a Greek Orthodox monastery next to the Holy Sepulchre. A small piece fell on the terrace of M Teresa's convent. Another fell in the Al Aqsa compound a few hundred meters from my room. It's not a nice feeling to be so vulnerable. I can't run or climb the stairs so I just sit in my "bunker" and wait for the explosions to end. Follow the Home Front instructions! That's what we must do.

More pink trees
The iconic pink trees are blossoming now. They're ornamental peach trees that don't fruit. But they make a bright note to the otherwise green background of trees around the parks. Very cheerful. But the rains will wash away those flowers soon.
